This physical book has little to say about C/C++ and focuses on the real basic background of the language. Lots of white space and big font make me feel like I'm reading a children's book on how to program. There are absolutely no photos in this text besides an advertisement for the next book in this series. The book lacks text on the spine where there should be a title. The cover and the back of the book are pixelated and aren't even centered on the page. I'm left with the impression that this is a bootleg copy rather than a book published by a professional publishing company. Would recommend anyone studying C/C++ to buy a better book. You deserve it!
I'm just starting the semester as a computer science student and got this looking to get ahead. There's almost too much information here, which is a great problem! When I get to the end of this book (which I gleaned through), I'll be way ahead of the curve. There's several semesters worth of information here, and I love that it includes some great insight into the Linux system.
