This series is going to be fan freaking tastic. It is already starting off with a bang for sure. It's not just the main characters of Jameson and Ava. It's her sister and his brothers as well. Everyone just meshed so well together and Jameson and Ava were combustible. He comes home from being away to see his face on a flyer for a charity event that he never agreed to. And his first stop was to go see Ava. Who had no clue he never agreed. After they discover some meddling from their sibling the strike a deal. She needs to supply him with a receptionist for the shop that will stick around until at least the event and he will be her headliner. Easy enough right. Not when the boss is a surly son of a bitch who wants nothing to do with the event to begin with. But Ava is not one to give in so she takes the job herself and commence fireworks. These two rub each other the wrong way daily. But a few dramatic things take place and the matchmaking of the O'Rouke brother and these two start to realize they are more alike then they think. So they draw a truce. But of course every truce has a snag somewhere along the line and this one is no exception. A misunderstanding here and a chivlrious gesture there and you hit a snag. The banter between these two are just amazing and the chemistry as I said combustible. I liked the storyline and loved the secondary characters as much as the main ones. Can't wait to see how the rest of the brothers come crashing to their knees.
This is my first book by this Author and I am hooked into this series! The tension between the two characters is so intense you can’t help but get caught up in it. When Jameson finally shoves Ava against the wall I thought I was going to combust! It was so HOT!!! It was so intense and heated but was like a 3 on the meter of what is to come! Both Jameson and Ava are deep characters with a lot of deep issues that they have to work out that really create the story into what it is! I loved it and loved the whole storyline between the two! Plus who doesn’t love a good story about a once poor now rich tattoo artist who is taking care of his brothers! I mean great storyline from that alone! I can’t wait for the next brothers books and I hope they are just as great as this!Looking for more book reviews? Check out my blog whenireadilive @blogspot
I’m a pushover for a hate to love romance and this is a classic case of two people who due to circumstances and latent prejudice get off on the wrong foot. Then their own stubbornness causes them to get stuck in each other’s company for six weeks for essentially the sake of a bet. Through time and proximity they come to know one another, drop their walls and find that maybe they just aren’t so different after all.I love a cranky guy who’s compassionate but set in his ways and Jameson fit the description to a T. Ava rode the line of proper lady with just enough enough guff to stand up for herself but still unsure about whether she was quite as proper as she acted. I had a good sense of both main character’s identity. They went with their gut, which I like, and learned from their mistakes even though there were a few miscommunications along the way for the sake of story. The secondary characters were also interesting, especially the siblings, and the ensemble that worked in the tattoo shop along with the customers drove the story well. This was my first Nicole James story. Looks like I need to go back and read the Evil Dead MC series.
I'm a fan of Nicole James and the MC Series that she's written. I wasn't sure what to expect with Jameson but I fell for him and his brothers. The connection between Ava and Jameson was evident from the beginning despite them constantly clashing with each other. At first they were like oil and water but the more time they spent with each other the more alike they were.Jameson is a hard headed no nonsense guy. He's raised his brothers and while they are all adults now he's is still trying to keep them together despite their chance to spread their wings.Ava is in a similar position. She and her sister are all the family they have left. She values this and has a soft spot for Jamie because of this. She's also feisty, smart and doesn't take Jameson's b.s. The author does a good job bringing a little drama into the book. It was enough to keep their story interesting and the reader anxious to keep reading. We're also introduced to his brother's who I'm hopeful that they'll get a story of their own.
Just finished this book and it sure did not disappoint. Kudos for the cover model Josh Mario John, he was the perfect model to depict Jameson. Jameson is the older brother that raised his three other brothers due to an accident, that forced him to be head of household. He's bitter, controlling, arrogant , just a bad ass with a temper if pushed to far. Ava the female character is educated, has her own business, had to raise her sister, and she can be a smart mouth and controlling. Two peas in a pod, what they say opposites attract. Like magnets they were drawn to each other, but both to stubborn to act on their feelings. That is until Jameson behind his back by his brother Max, found out he was nominated to be the bachelor auctioned off at a charity event hosted by Ava. The antics these two pulled to get the other to back out had me laughing like crazy. But what happens between these two when a bet throws them together to work with each other day after day, will have you melting, laughing and crying. Absolutely loved this book and can't wait for Max's book to come out, gonna be good.
